There are countless writing resources available to writers. If you Google Writing Resources you’ll see it states that there are about 891 million listings under the heading. As, I guess, there are probably no more than a million professional writers in the world, that would be eight hundred and ninety-one resources for each of one us. Even if you check Resources for Writers – which is a slightly different thing – you will see there are 135 million listings. There is such a thing as too much information.
What I intend to do here is list those writing resources that I personally can vouch for as being useful. I will initially break it down into organisations that I know support writers: I know because I belong, or have belonged, to them.
I will also list websites that I personally find helpful, with a line or two about what I have found useful. I may, if it is useful, start segmenting them into writing resources for fiction and non-fiction writers – maybe even special resources for business writing and writing for government.
