A great day last Wednesday taking the Writing for Clarity and Impact course at OSDS, part of UWA. There was a full complement of twenty five people, many of them academics who were interested in developing their writing style to make it simpler and more powerful. The feedback has been excellent.

There is no doubt that simple writing is becoming best practice in government, private industry and now academia. Short words, short sentences and writing as much as possible in the active are the way to go to get the message across succinctly and effectively.
